MADURA (Mentorship for Advancing Diversity in Undergraduate Research on Aging) is a National Institute of Aging-funded Advancing Diversity in Aging Research (ADAR) training program at UC San Diego

How?
Paid Faculty-led Group Mentorship & Training, and pay to work with a Research Mentor at Aging or AD/RD approved placements. Stipend is $15/hour for 10 hour/week commitment.
Sites include Campus labs and research offices and community settings. Depending on the placement, research activities may include assistance with recruitment, screening, materials development, data entry, intervention implementation, literature reviews, health promotion or educational outreach, conducting clinical trials, and more.
IMPORTANT DATES for 2024-2025 Academic Year:
Placements run for the full year (3 quarters). The application window re-opens May1st 2024 and will remain open until July 1st, 2024. Students must interview over the Summer of 2024 either in-person or by Zoom.
However, please note MADURA will still accept Winter and Spring Quarter applications on a rolling basis, dependent on lab placement availability.
